The Black Box Theatre is located in the Golden Triangle Mall just outside of JCPenney. The suggested parking area is in front of the Food Court entrance on the West side of JCPenney. You can enter either through JCPenney or through the Food Court.

Experimental and progressive theatre is on the rise in Dallas-Fort Worth, and Denton Community Theatre is happy to be home to some of the best. The DCT Black Box Theatre space, made possible by the Golden Triangle Mall, features Denton’s most independent and experimental theatre. Up-and-coming writers, directors, and actors are showcased at Black Box Theatre.

The Black Box Theatre is an intimate theatre space, perfect for a variety of performances. Come enjoy a new play from a soon-to-be superstar playwright, or watch some of Denton’s most talented directors hone their craft in action.

Tickets to Black Box productions are available through our normal ticketing sytem. General admission tickets to each performance are $15.

DCT Education – Creativity Camp – Off to Neverland

Crave is a one-act play that resembles a spoken poem with an underlying theme of pain in love.  The four characters are haunted by myriad dark issues including rape, incest, drug addiction, mental illness, murder, and suicide. The Zoo Story is a one-act play that explores isolation, loneliness, miscommunication, and dehumanization in a commercial world. The elements of ironic humor and unrelenting dramatic suspense are brought to a climax when Jerry brings his victim down to his own savage level.
